Reminds me of Twitter’s Suggested User List (which is now defunct).

I don’t see this (yet, I would guess), but the “recommended by” presentation makes me wonder whether this isn’t structured rather differently than Twitter’s SUL.
What if we all end up having the ability to “recommend” Tumblr-ers we like, so that what is recommended for me in this little sidebar is based entirely on recommendations from the people I already follow?
My gut reaction is that recommendations like this would be less compelling than the implicit recommendations that come from reblogs. This approach would lack context—you haven’t seen what this person actually posts, where you’ve gotten a sample with reblogs.
Well, since Tumblarity is gone we all need something to both disparage and secretly obsess over…maybe this can fit the bill.
