Feedback on Feedback
So Kevin Marshall and I rolled out a little Twitter lists experiment called conversationlists a couple of hours ago (my blog post on the thinking that led to conversationlists here), and it’s been excellent to see smart, thoughtful feedback rolling in already.
I must admit, though, that making anything public on the Internet—whether it’s a great idea, total garbage, or somewhere in between—always brings me back to the three responses.
You see, some years ago I found my Internet-stuff-maker bliss by realizing that there are just three responses that I need to have ready to handle immediate feedback:
- Thanks!
- That’s a good point, I’ll think more about it. Thanks!
- Okay, well, I eagerly await seeing the better thing that you make. Thanks!
With those responses at the ready, I can handle pretty much anything.
